They are fully made of the finest and highest quality 100% organic cotton, which was produced adhering to all the GOTS standards (certified).

The entire production process of our swaddles is certified according to GOTS standards: people, materials, coloring, printing, packaging.

Instead of chemicals, we use a biowash treatment in our products' finishing process. This increases their lifespan. As a result, our swaddles are softer, stay softer, pill less, stay in shape better, are easy to iron and are color-fast.

Your Pixies & Berries product was produced adhering to GOTS and OEKOTEX standards.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world's leading textile processing standard when it comes to organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental and social criteria along the entire organic textile supply chain.Dyes and auxiliaries used must meet a set of environmental and toxicological criteria along with waste water planning.GOTS certification covers the whole textile process include fair labour practices (no child labour!) and the assurance that there is no known toxic substances used as part of the manufacturing process and therefore safe for humans.

The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels, as well as accessory materials used.
To obtain a OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, the textile needs to be free from more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health.

In the finishing process of the cotton the fabric goes through a natural bath of acid and enzymes. This process takes place at a very high temperature. 

The warmth breaks the rough fibers down and give the fabric a softer feel. The addition of the enzymes and  the acid give the fabric the unique silky touch. 

Biowashing also changes the appearance of the fabric by giving it a long lasting color brightness. It preserves the color of the fabric, prevents color loss and maintains the color consistency of the item after washing too.

Normally this finishing process is done with chemicals and a lot of (spoiled) cold water. We all know that chemicals are harmful to our body and our skin. 

Bio-washing is the natural component that is user-friendly and good for the environment. It also prevents our skin from various allergies and ailments.

We started P&B in the summer of 2023 by presenting our range “they last a whole childhood” swaddles.

Pixies & Berries will grow into a “one stop brand for natural childhood”. 

Our products are made all over the world. We select the people and small family businesses we work with based upon a shared vision, and not based on geographical borders.

On the one hand it means we always ask for and require certificates for biological, organic and GOTS-standards. But that’s not all, we also work as friends would.

We truly believe that the good energy given to a product during harvesting, assembling, manufacturing and so fort is part of the positive all over experience. This means we deliver as a chain of friends with shared values. That’s our main requirement. 

Our current collection of swaddles was hand made in India.

Nature doesn’t care about fashion. And a flower is never out of fashion. We think there’s an eternal beauty in everybody and everything. We therefore work with a strong basic collection and timeless-designs. 

No, we don’t ship directly outside the EU except for the UK. If you are enthousiastic about our products but are outside the EU/UK, please contact your preferred local shop and ask them to contact us.
